    Hello, guys!

I've been having some troubles to install it.

    It follows the error:

Error:          Installation requires Oracle Java 1.5 or later whose owner is superuser. Please install the correct version with superuser and Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files, and try again.

I've searched for some troubleshooting and found the same thing I've already done.

As you can see in the image attached, java is properly installed as well the matching policy files.

Can someone help me with it?

    Hi Matheus,

can you please specify the steps you've done? Are you sure the root user is the owner of Java folder? Can you run Chown-R root:root on Java's folder?

    Regards,

    Fabrizio

    Hello, Fabrizio!

    Thanks for the feedback.

It is a testing environment, so I just installed the system and tried to install SEP. There was an error informing that java and glibc must be installed, so I did. The glibc error has gone, but the java one still appears.

There is no other user besides root. Is there any possible cenario where root do not own the Java folder, considering this information?
