Installing SEP client from different SEPM servers

Created: 05 May 2013 • Updated: 05 May 2013 | 5 comments

I have two SEPM servers in 2 different AV sites.

I can login and connect to both servers and Management consoles.

When I do the client deployment from either of the SEPM Server, the client shows managed by SEPM1 only.

How do I deploy SEP client and managed by SEPM2 server. ?

Kindly confirm have you create the replication between both Server?

If replication is done in both Server and SEPM is the main Server.

Then Clients will reflect that those clients are being manged by Server 1.

Thanks friends,

Both are replication sites and configured to replicate.

The question is: I was wondering whether I can choose a 'Management server' while deploying SEP clients.

But later I found, under the clients groups, policy, option called: 'Clients managed by'

so I have distributed my site1 clients under SEPM1 and site2 clients under SEPM2.

Now all clients are segregated and managed.

kindly confirm have you define any priorty in sepm?

your client site1 and site2 both are manage with server1 or it manage site wise like site 1 clients managed by site 1 server and site 2 clients with site2 server?
