Installing Server 2008 R2 "SP1" on SD 7.1 SP1 Server

Created: 25 Apr 2013 | 2 comments

Hi,

We are running Service Desk 7.1 SP1 on Server 2008 R2. The implementation guide says the following are the service desk server requirements:

Windows Server 2008 64 bit or 2008 R2
Warning: Do not load any Windows Service Packs prior to the ServiceDesk installation.

However, I'd like to install Windows Server 2008 R2 service pack 1. Can this be done? As above it just says don't install it prior to ServiceDesk installation.

As the implementation guide says you don't want to install any Windows Service Packs prior to the installation of ServiceDesk. After you have completed the install you should be fine.
