    I wrote a step-by-step guide:

Where and when do you get the error?

So when i run the job from the console i get the message. Also on the client machine it shows a message that say cannot find file specified.

If you've created the software delivery as a Task and put it in a Job have you included the software itself in a Package? By default the Agent on the client machine runs in the context of the local machine System account, which does not have access to network shares.

After i included the software in the package itself i still get the error but a pop windows asking for the product key shows up on the client machine. So i guess i am on the right track, i just have to figure out how to have it include the serial key and install silently.

One approach I find useful is, before I go anywhere near Altiris, is to try and silently install the software on a test machine. Once I have got the fully silent install completed I run a one off full Inventory on the test box and then import the Software into Altiris, making sure I add it to the Software Component that Inventory will have discovered.

This saves having to edit the package later if I end up having to create an msi transform or silent ini file or similar.

I was able to have the license already put in by adding it to the config. I was told i have to use the Office custmization tool but it only comes with volume license version of office. I know i am close, but i still get the screen asking me to accept the the terms and the install screen.

Edit the config.xml to put in the correct silent install options and put the edited config.xml fle in the same directory as setup.exe. Delete any other config.xml files. Make sure this works from the command line then import into Altiris.

If you don't want to use Altiris Patch Management WSUS should do it.
