Installing SWV 6.1 changing default-install-path
As far as I understood until now default install routine can be changed only using the command tool and the commands listed in the helpfile of SWV.
This worked fine for the new install but didn't wotk for the options "modify" or "repair". And - if needed - the admintool must be installed in a 2nd step.
Correct so far ?? Or is there a more simple way to change the default install folders?
Now after deinstallation and new installation of SWV the folder FSLRDR was left. As it was rather blown up I wanted to delete it. But some subfolders couldn't be deleted
even using a Win PE CD as bootsystem. Hints to Microsoft were displayed and deletion was refused. Obviously RecycleBin - maybe beside other Win system internals - is installed in some program layers and deletion of these is blocked even booting with another (Win) System. Some rests of FSLRDR remained until now.
Can anybody give some hints?

I know you can change the
I know you can change the FSLRDR install path by passing in this switch: D_FSLRDR=MyDirectory
I'm not sure how to change the agent install path, it would be in our documentation if we had a way.
When you uninstall SWV we purposely leave behind the FSLRDR directory and some registry keys--but this will change in a future version where you'll have the option to leave things behind.
If you have a folder that can't be deleted, it's probably because of a registry hive being mounted, so usually restarting resolves the issue. But you were using WinPE, which requires a reboot it load, so I'm not sure what's happening. There was a thread that shouldn't be too far down on the page that discusses ways to delete the FSLRDR when explorer won't let you.

Yes, the install pathes for the agent and FSLRDR can be changed - but only with the comnmandline tool. And the admin tool must be instelled in a 2nd step. So far my experience until now. Perhaps in further versions this could be improved?
The deletion of fslrdr is impossible - even after reboot and with admin prvileges. But crazy thing: he folder is empty (0 bits), but 2 sublfolders are refused to be deleted: One error report ist ....commonappdata [E]Microsoft is unaccessible (... means the whole path) and a second is ---tmp\hsperfdata_username access denied. As I told already both folders are empty.
Anyway, thanks for your reply and the hint to FSLRDR thread.
I am looking forward to improvements to handle installation more comfortable. Nevertheless - a great programm!
Try deleting using the local
Try deleting using the local system account instead.
You can also temporary disable the filter driver, try to delete and enable the driver again.
Try to change owner of the files / folders
If the files are stored on a NTFS drive: Login as administrator, then get ownership of them, if neccessary check your right to delete.
