Hello,

I am installing symantec antivirus 10.1.5.2005 on a company server.
I installed the symantec systemcenter and all went OK. When I started to install the primary management server symantec asks me to select a server. I can see my server but when i select it, symantec tells me
"The network name cannot be found".

I allready uninstalled the previous version of symantec. i tried allready to uninstall this version and start all over again, but it doesn't work.

Any tips are welcome.

Typically this is the error we get when we cannot connect to the administrative share. From the machine with the SSC installed, try connecting to the C$ share on the remote computer before trying the install. If this doesn't work, then the install will fail.

Thanks for your reaction.

I am trying to install the management server to the same station(server ) as the SSC.

All went OK with the previous version of SAV.
