I have just upgraded two computers to W7. In both cases when trying to install the SEP client the install gets to the point of copying files, then automatically backs out. I have tried installing a locally managed client directly from the CD, and a managed client from the server - both fail to install. Is there an additional issue I need to be aware of for W7? I am currently using 11.0.4.

Remember do not install Network Threat Protection feature of Symantec Endpoint protection as it is not supported on Windows 7 in 11.0.4 however it is fully supported from 11.0.5

One of its feature is that it supports Microsoft Windows 7 (all editions except for Itanium)

We have a couple Win 7 machines, both 32 and 64 bit, that are running SEP RU5 just fine. If you're still having trouble, was a previous A/V product installed prior to the Win 7 upgrade or was it a clean install?
