Hi all
I have a problem that i had to reinstall endpoint protection ver.11.0.4 and now he start to install than stop and ends with an internal error!!! whot can i do?
And is a way to get the update to 12 vertion that is moore simple to manage? i just have 80 user to manage and this endpoint is dificult to manage!!!!and instal!!!!!!

Can you tell me the errors

Can you tell me the errors that you are seeing? Is this a manager or client reinstall? Unfortunatly you cannot upgrade SEP 11 to SEP 12 SBE.

Im not seeing error
jus terminate the installation with this...

the wizard was interrupted before Synantec Endpoint protection Manager could be completely instaled.
your system has not been modified. To complete instalation at another time, please run setup again.
click finish to exit the wizard.

Again open the SEPM_INST.log and find "Return Value 3" ( without quotes) and copy and paste 10 lines above the first return value 3

The server is im portuguese and i have installed and unistalled 2 and portuguese and in inglish too for 2 times whit no problem and now dont

ZIP not extracted properly

Possible cause also can the ZIP file is not properly extracted.
Unlock ( from the properties ) the ZIP file then extract it.
Then try to install it.

What service pack are you having on this server. Patch the server to latest service pack and other patches and then try installing again.

Are you also getting any errors or warnings in the event viewer after the install fails ?

Based from the logs, it looks like your having problems with the windows installer, can you repair or update it? Then reinstall SEP.

If yes, unistall AV softwares munally by deleting the folders and registry settings.

Hi,

If its a Portuguese server, do you want to install the English version or the Portuguese version?

You have the option of choosing the language as Brazilian Portuguese at the time of downloading the CD.

Or try these steps:

1) Launch the Control Panel
2) Choose "Regional and Language Options"
3) Click the Advanced tab
4) Under "Code page conversion tables", check "20127 (US-ASCII)" ON
5) Click OK
