Intermittent 19922 or 19901 error when connecting to GSS 2.5 ghost server

We have GSS 2.5 installed on a machine running XP Pro SP3.  TFTPD32.EXE 3.35 is providing the DHCP, PXE, etc services.  Network consists of the server pc along with 10 machines that I'm testing the whole process on.  No other networks,  machines and no firewall or anti-virus.  Very basic environment.   Used the Ghost Wizard to create a bootable environment consisting of WinPE.    Each machine has been imaged at least a half dozen times so there doesn't appear to be any hardware issues in general (have tried a couple of different dumb switches and we are using new cabling).  We typically run into problems,  getting the 19922 or 19901  error on the machines being imaged,  if we power on all the machines. They download the WinPE boot image just fine and Ghost32 starts and attempts to connect to the Ghost Server.   The image is multicast to the machines and the image transmission is started,  via "Send" button, when all the machines are connected.   All the machines sit next to each other on a bench.  We basically walk from machine to machine and power on.  Delaying the power on for a few seconds doesn't appear to have any effect.   I have been able to image all 10 machines,  at one time,  with no problem.  However,  more often than not,  we get the 19922 or 19901 error.  When the Ghost Server errors out,  I just restart it.  On the machines being imaged,  I just click "OK" ,  which closes the session,  and then restart  Ghost32 session via the bat file (startnet.bat if I recall correctly).  The machine then connects with no trouble to the Ghost Server.

There appears to be a timing issue and I'm not quite sure where to look.   Some machines are starting the Ghost32 session while others are still downloading the WinPE image files.  As I mentioned,  I have been able to do ten at a time on several occasions (once again this is a test environment so I'm using the same machines over and over).  I have noticed that the Ghost32 session gets a new IP address when connecting to the Ghost Server session (example: DHCP assigns address x.x.x.1 <mac address>.  When the GhostSvr starts I see x.x.x.1 (without the mac address) and then see IP x.x.x.2 appear with the mac address.  The IP address I see in the Ghost Server window is the original x.x.x.1).   If we do maybe 5 at a time,  there usually isn't any problem,  but that isn't very productive.  Any ideas?

What about the machines?

Are you imaging 10 identical machines, or are they all different?
Perhaps there is something about the NICs and their individual behaviour that is causing the issues?

They are all identical.  I

They are all identical.  I will be trying a different driver to see if that has any impact.  The problem is hit or miss.

NIC speeds

Are you able to check whether the machines are all connecting at the same speed? If the NICS are set to auto negotiate the link speed, perhaps some are linking at 10Mbps while others are linking at 100Mbps. The lights on the hub or switch may indicate this.

I replaced TFTPD32 with

I replaced TFTPD32 with another product and the problem is resolved.  There seemed to be some sort of timing issue and the way that TFTPD32 leased IP addresses
