Hi people,

My current Symantec liveupdate server has recently failed in downloading the updates but somehow successful in Distributing the updates ?

All of my workstation SEP client shows up as green and current as at today (with the green dot).

DOes this means that if the Symantec Live update server kept failing in downloading the updated definitions, what it distributes is just the old data around ?

does the timestamp of the file shows the latest dates?

If the clients are running the old definition, the clients will get the updates from Internal Liveupdate server.

Does the download fails at certain percentage all the time?

well surprisingly the Download status for the Windows SEP can work out slowly, I still don't know why the Linux package is still stopped or not downloaded properly ?

Hi Dushan,

What version of LUA are you using?  Is it LUA 2.3?

Check out the details of the task in Activity Monitor.  What is the status for each file?  If the Distributin Center already had a copy of that file, it will say "already present on the server."  There will be a similarly informative status for other files. 

Regarding the Downlaod, I had a similar behavior yesterday -- repeated attempts to download SEP definitions failed, always on the same file.  I am checking now to see if the download will complete.

Mine downloaded without any issue today - may have been some temporary glitch yesterday.

Yes it seems to be working fine at the moment eventhough it is quite slow.

and yes.. it is failed after 53% ....

Are you using LUA 2.3, or is yours an earlier release?
