International Software license agreement
I distribute my software in 10 languages, and am having trouble with the software license agreement dialog in Wise:
If I make 10 installers (one for each language), then I have to by-hand re-import the license agreement for each language. This is a pain, and an opportunity for me to accidently marry the wrong agreement with the wrong language. If Wise would automatically auto-scan and grab the licese agreement from a file, then I could change the file via the batch file I use to prepare which files get distributed. Unfortunately, I have to click on a button in Wise in order to manually load it in for each language.
So, I thought "why not make a unified license in all languages". Unfortunately, there seems to be a 32K limit on the number of characters in the license dialog. I can *almost* squeeze in all the text I need, but not quite, and half of the characters of my last language get cut off.
Maybe I might make my own license dialog, but then I have to translate the text of the license dialog itself, and figure out how to impliment it in Wise such that if user chooses "accept" or "don't accept" that it closes properly and so forth, meaning it's a pain also.
So, none of the above solutions really work very well. Any suggestions?

If you are a developer, there is a Wise object model that would allow you to use their API to write a build script that edits a project and then compiles a particular release. This would allow you to stuff in whatever text you wanted.
Which version of Wise are you using? If it's version 6 or below, grab an eval copy of version 7 of Wise Installation Studio and have a look in the Tech Documentation folder - the updated manuals on the Wise automation interface have more examples than provided in the older manuals.

Just for future reference, my eventual solution was to edit the license agreement down to less than 32K of characters. I was just barely able to make it fit without loosing meaning by deleting spaces at the end of sentences and stuff like that.
Sensible solution
License agreements are usually far too wordy for anyone to bother reading them. I support a further reduction to 1K characters!

508 words isn't too bad.
In English, I'm at 508 words. That includes Copyright, Patent notice, disclaimer of liability, the Software license itself, trade secrecy restrictions, and contact info.
508 words is less than 1 page which I think is quite reasonable. However, since it is necessary to display the agreement in 10 languages, it is a problem.
