Internet Access Control

Created: 20 Jun 2014 | 1 comment

We have SEP 12.1.2

Internet is used through proxy settings and filtered. But when laptop user is trqvelling and using data card then by removing proxy settings user is able to browse all. I want to still keep restriction policies for people who are using data card.

Is it possible to put internet restriction through SEP only when user is not on LAN and using a data card or other hot spot for internet.

What you need to do is create two locations, one for internal the other for external. You will also need to create two firewall policies, one for internal and the other for external.

You can leave your internal policy as it but for your external you can disallow Internet browsing from those specific network adapters. Assign the external policy to the external location.
