Hi Rantpe,

What version of Symantec SVS Admin are you using in the sample you provided for IE6?

We're using 2.1.3071 and we haven't got half the functionality that appears in the drop down menu of your Admin version, and our icon is still the old SVS agent icon.

Are you using a BETA or something?

P.S. I checked the Altiris/Symantec download site and I seem to have the latest version.

ya he's using an old beta of SWV (the new name of SVS) 6.1.

I get confused of the acronyms when the product has changed hands and been re-branded so much...

So SWV stands for Symantec Workspace Virtualisation, which was and still currently is SVS 2.x and is "going" to become SWV 6.1, but was due to be SVS 3.x ???

And SWS "is" already 6.1 which was previously Appstream?

Is this right?

If so, any idea on the launch date for the latest SVS/SWV/XXX/YYY ???

P.S. Can I make one tiny request for the new version - A full size window for the SVS Admin tool please ;)

You're correct except it was supposed to be SVS 2.5 then went to SVS 3.x then changed to SWV 6.1, wait till you see all the version changes for 7.1 (which isn't being developed, but there had been planning from way back).

I can file an enhancement request for the full screen SVSadmin but I know that won't make it in 6.1 which is feature complete.

As for the release date, we'll have something to announce soon I believe.

Keep in mind that when you use SWS the old appstream and now named SWS that you still have to install a SVS version.
And even when you instal SWS 6.1 you still only get SVS 2.1.3071 as SWV is not been released yet.

Full screen SWV admin is added, apperently it was added weeks ago and I never noticed.

SVS Admin itself could always be seen in full screen, so I guess that the full screen request refers to the edit window.
To my knowledge this is still not possible in SWV 6.1, so for large registry hives I would still advise going straight to regedit unless you really like scrolling.
