There is no version Like BE 11 its just 11d and it have two version 11d 6235 and 11d 7170

The major chage in 11d 7170 was that it supported Exchange 2007 .

There is no major difference in the Backup exec build its just new enhancement are added to the product .The differences make sense as long as is functional to your environment

refer the following for BE 2010 ..Look in the whats new section

refer the following for version 12.5

for 12.0 and 12.5 refer

edit @@@the last document referred is probably the best one I could fine to compare the differences.its just that it does not include 2010

11d, biggest feature.  Exchange GRT and not just Exch2007 support

12, biggest features..  2008 support and SPN (useless feature IMO), probably the most unstable too IMO.

12.5, VCB, and more GRT features

2010, dedupe, vStorage, and archiving, as well as Win2k8 R2 media server support.

R2 and R3 are major bug fixes and code upgrades.

But that PDF is handy to some degree...  I usually point out the heavily marketed item as to why the new version is a better version.

There is an online portal, save yourself the long hold times. Create ticket online, then call in with ticket # in hand :-) "We backup data to restore, we don't backup data just to back it up."
