Messaging Gateway

  • 1.  Invalid user name or password. Please try again

    I installed Symantec Brightmail Gateway in a VMware virtual server using the ISO image posted by Symantec.
    I can login to the server from the terminal prompt but cannot do it from the web interface.

    Any ideas?

    Are you using admin for the user name and the password you provided during the CMD prompt setup?

    I've run into the occasional oddity with certain browsers and their caching behavior.  If you enter the username and password again does it work on subsequent tries?    Also, what version of SBG, and what browser are you using?

    Not to piggy-back pbaggiol but I have ran into this a few times with IE8.  Usually closing/re-opening your browser will do the trick but on a certain occasion, I've had to clear the cache manually.
