Inventory 7 crashing on vista

Hi,
I have installed CMS 7 and all seems to be ok except the inventory solution. when any inventory task runs it either crashes the altiris agent (with a 'Faulting application aexnsagent.exe') or I get a failure - return code - 1. Most of the time it crashes the agent. We are using windows vista and I have seen the altiris article 46615 about it being a known issue and have upgraded all the files it suggests but it still crashes.Have seen other articles suggesting uninstalling all the old agents and sub agents and then re-installing but this also makes no difference.

Am a bit stuck as I cant rollback to 6 easily as the migration just uninstalls version 6. Can rollout all the agents without inventory but that makes the system a bit pointless.

Any ideas?

thanks

There is an article in the KB on this.  Although, there doesn't seem to be a fix yet.

Final fix posted

The KB (https://kb.altiris.com/article.asp?article=46615&p=1) has been updated and the final fix posted.
Inventory Solution 7.0 SP1, that is coming out shortly, will also include this fix.

Rene

still doesn't work

I upgraded the Inventory Solution to the last SP1 version and still I have the same crush error on Altiris Agent, now even when it does not run a Full Inventory Scan task.

I looked in the Events Pool on my clients Vista Enterprise 64 bit editions where the agent and the inventory plugin are installed and there I found plenty of  the following message "Faulting application aexnsagent.exe, version 7.0.0.3599, time stamp 0x4a89ea9c, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6002.18005, time stamp 0x49e03824, exception code 0xc0000374, fault offset 0x000ab0bf, process id 0x50c, application start time 0x01ca5c54110b31f9."

Any more ideas why my client Agent stops in Vista Enterprise??
