I am looking for a way to do ad-hoc inventory. In SP1 there were predefined tasks that did the trick. Now in SP2 i can't find any tasks that do this?
You can go to manage - jobs and tasks - select the folder client tasks, right click, select new task, then when the window opens, find the folder 'Discovery and Inventory' and you will see a task type for "Gather Inventory".
