When I enter the target Server name, I get a message " There was an error adding the server".

Delmark,
Check the NS's LogViewer while adding the server (launch LogViewer.exe) to see if any more detailed information is available. I found the following KBs as well:
https://kb.altiris.com/article.asp?article=27649&p=1
https://kb.altiris.com/article.asp?article=44250&p=1
Thanks,

The Logs just show the same error.
Module: AltirisNativeHelper.dll
Source: dlgNSForwarding
Description: There was an error adding the server.[This is not a valid notification server web site.]
I have seen these "KB's" and have made these changes and still no Joy.
I'll keep looking

The server you are attempting to forward to has the same version of Notification Server as the source right?

NS Version and update rollup (i.e. R8, R9)...also are any of them using SSL/HTTPS or non-standard ports, or have other weird IIS configurations? Any proxy servers in between them by chance?
Thanks,
Kyle
