Inventory Forwarding NS7 to NS6?

I know it's a little early, but I also know there are people out there who could probably answer this question.
In my current infrastructure I've got an NS that's performing my CMS duties and a 2nd NS that is performing my Helpdesk and Asset Management duties. The only interaction the two have is a daily inventory forwarding job from my CMS NS to my Helpdesk & Asset NS.
Will I still be able to forward inventory data from my CMS NS if I upgrade it to NS7? I don't need any of the new hierarchy stuff, just inventory data. I know Connector will probably be able to work as a stopgap if i have to, but that seems like it could be really messy.
Forwarding from 7 to 6
There are no UI components for Inv. Forwarding in 7. Connector will probably be your best solution, as the database structures and refactoring would make inventory forwarding very difficult, probably impossible.
