I currently run a software inventory once a week and use the slowmode as some of our users reported that it slows down their PC when it runs in normal mode. Since this constraint has come up, i can only see the updates to certain software versions once a week at best. I would like to be able to run an inventory once a day that only picks up the information on one piece of software or one executable as well as run the full blown inventory weekly. I tried creating a new INI file that told it to run and collect from one specific exe but when the inventory came back to the NS, it overwrote all the other information from the last inventory. Is there a way to put this information in another location so i can collect it more often?
The version information is not listed in the registry so i cant pull it from there.
