I got a strange request recently that I believe is impossible but I figured I would ask some people smarter than me to make sure it is impossible.  Basically we are ordering an Apple computer for one specific user, for one specific  use in a purely Windows environment.  The deal negotiated by powers above came to a deal that the Apple could be purchased and used as long as it doesn't touch our network for ANY reason. Regardless of this there has still been a request to pull an inventory from this machine using Altiris.

My question is if this is possible.  Can I somehow create an inventory and put it into the Notification Server manually without the agent / computer hitting the network?  I want to somehow have the Inventory job run and then put the information into the database.

I'm convinced I won't be able to do this but once again maybe one of you all have a good idea for this.  I'm on NS6.

(zero foot print) for ULM based systems, as there is for Windows. You might be able to configure something using the ULM agent and inventory, but it probably would be fairly manual, and I doubt it would be supported.

That is about what I figured.  Thanks for the advice.
