Inventory succeeded but not showing in computer summary report

Hi

We have a windows 7 client with altiris agent installed and Inventory plug in installed properly.

We schedule poliy on the client and it is showing successfully run but it is not reflecting in computer summary report

Hi,

Could you please verify if is posible find this computer using Resource Manager? On the Symantec Management Console - Manage - Resources and verify View - Inventory to have sure that the inventory was received and processed.

Is this issue occurring only with this Windows 7 computer or others too?

Yes this problem we facing in windows 7 client computers.

In altiris folder under program files in that I am able to all the NSI files present

This is a great evidence. Altiris Agent are processing the inventory policy.

If you could please verify the Resource Manager we will have sure that the inventory was received and processed by the Notification Server. 
 
Go to the Symantec Management Console - Manage - Resources -> Computer name. On View tab verify witch Inventory folders and dataclasses do you have for this machine.

I have check the resource manager and Inventory and dataclasse are present.

Under Inventory it showing -- Application metering, Basic Inventory, Hardware, Operating System, Software, Software delivery summary, User and group

Hi CBZ9104,

There is a known issue about this with SMP 7.0 SP5 + Inventory Solution 7.0 SP2 (TECH152897 - Computer Summary report is not showing all computers with Inventory data - http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH152897). For this known issue you can download a new stored procedure.

Even if you are using another version this article also have interesting information. The report Computer Summary depends on the Inv_Hardware_Summary table to be properly populated. This table is populated on a nightly basis when the NS.Daily task runs. 

Could you please execute manually the Ns.Daily tasks and check the report results again?

Hi Fabio

We have run the NS daily task and done one change in my gather inventory task and full inventory policy

In gather inventory task --- Advance -- Run Options --- we enable verbose client logging

Now inventory is showing in computer summary report

The NS Daily task should run daily or weekly basis
