In Windows 2008 if you enable clustering it enables a Microsoft Failover Cluster Virtual Adapter when this adapter is enabled it has an IP address of 169.254.x.x. This seems to be the adapter that gets picked up by the inventory and list in the notification server. This breaks the agentless icmp monitor we have setup for our servers. It appears in version 6 you exclude adapters using a customdata.ini file to get around this problem but I have not been able to find a similar solution for version 7. Anyone have any ideas how I can resolve this issue?
