IO Fencing LUN migration

This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi all.

We will soon be migrating to a new SAN, which means migrating all our VCS 5.0 (Solaris) disk groups onto new LUNs. For the most part, this seems pretty straight forward - add the new LUNs into the dg's, mirror the volumes, and remove the original LUNs. I do have a question when it comes to the IO Fencing LUNs however. In reading through the VCS Administration Guide, it says the process for replacing a disk in the coordinator disk group involves stopping the cluster with a 'hastop -all' command. I was hoping to carry out the migration without an outage, so I was wondering whether it was possible to do this while leaving the service groups (and the applications) online by using the 'hastop -all -force' command, or something similar, instead? Does anybody have any experience with this? Is it possible?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

SF/HA 5.0 MP3 is the first version supporting online replacement of the coordinator disks.

The utility "vxfenswap" is decribed in the VCS User's Guide:
