I am assuming "iomega_px6-300D " is a NAS device, you cannot install Remote Agent on a NAS.

To backup a NAS you need to add IP address of the box in the User Defined Selection of BE.

Add an account in BE which has full permission on the NAS.

NAS backups may show status as failed due to RAWS not detetced but if you check the restore

window you will find that actually data has been backed up by BE.

Refer to http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH17377

in NAS backup i am giving the credentials of domain administrator, but while "test for credential" phase it is giving "failure: RAWS is not detected." kindly reply

hi team,

how can i give the permission to an account on NAS device? eg domain admin

If that NAS is Active Directory integratable, then all you do is add it to your domain, and add the BE service account in as an administrator.
