When using Apple's configurator, certain iOS management settings (Global HTTP proxy, some restrictions, app lock, etc.) normally require a device to be in 'supervised' mode before they can be pushed down to the device. I'm trying to get setup using MDM and I'm finding that Global HTTP Proxy won't push down to my device. On a lark, I set the device to supervised mode using configurator and then installed the MDM agent. This did allow my setting profile to apply. Other settings like WiFi and feeds will appear on the device when not in supervised mode, so I'm wondering what my next test or troubleshooting step is. Seems like these settings should work or there should be some way to put the device in supervised mode from the MDM agent. What I don't want to do is use configurator and MDM. Anyone have thoughts?
