    Hi all,

we use Application and Device Cotnrol under sep 12.1 to block usb devices excepted some of a validated whitelist.

Since this policy is applied on computers, users with Iphone cannot access its data, so it's ok... but can't charge Iphone battery through USB port as well.

How to let the cell phone being charged and data still being blocked ?

    Thnaks in advance

    Hello,

When an USB IPhone Connector is connected to USB port of Computer, IPhone installs the Drivers of the same (or ITune Software identifies the Iphone). Until and unless the Drivers can installed or detection takes place the Phone would not be charged. IPhone also carries the HDD within it. So, when you insert the Connector, it detects the HDD as well. (you can see the Iphone HDD in the My Computer option)

However, you need to understand, it would not get charged until the IPhone is detected. And for detection your HDD has to be activated and drivers be installed and a Transfer has to take place (which you do not want.)

Check this Thread with nearly same issue -

    Hope that helps!!

Hi - This is because IPhone charging will be work after update the driver on system. When the driver will be completed Charging and Data transfer will be activate because it using same setting. So it not possible that you can enable the IPhone charging without device access.

find the below thread which i have raised in Past.

If you have admin access then go manage and enable the device. It will help you temprory start the charging but not permanently.

    Hope this inofrmation help you.
