Does SEP v11-RU6a enforce the IPS policy for 64-bit endpoints?

    Thanks,

Yes. SEP 11.0.6a does fully support IPS on 64 bit clients.

    Hello,

Ofcourse!!!! IPS Signatures fully supports the the 64 bit machines.

You can test it using this policy and exploit

It's the TruScan Proactive Threat Protection, which is not Supported.

Is TruScan compatible with Windows Server operating systems?

On Windows server operating systems and Windows XP 64-bit operating systems, Proactive Threat Protection only supports Commercial Application List scanning or "CAL". This is why the status shows as "OFF" in the client interface.

TruScan/Proactive Threat Protection can be installed and run on all 32-bit non-server operating systems such as Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 (x86) and 64-bit Windows XP/Vista/7

The "Scan for trojans and worms" and the "Scan for keyloggers" options are currently not supported on Windows server operating systems or 64-bit Windows XP Professional. The "Scan for keyloggers" option is also not supported on Windows 7.

Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) technology is fully compatible with Windows server operating systems, and should be used to protect all servers.
