    Yes, you can install IPS on the server but if you have a Network based IPS already in the network at the gateway/perimeter in that case you don't need the host based IPS on the client. Yes we can install all the component of SEP client on the server.But do keep in mind the the server's role and the necessary exclusions and accommodations that need to be made to allow that role to function.

    Hi, What is the role of the server? Is it DNS, Exchange etc?

    The answer is YES. IPS is fully compatible with Windows server operating systems
