Currently I am using BMG 8.0.3.

I would like to set up a test lab for IPv6 and wondered if anyone had configured BMG to use IPv6 and if so, what version you are using ?

I don't see any mention of IPv6 in the manual.

Thanks

Oz.

I don't think SBG supports

I don't think SBG supports IPv6 at this time.  I've mentioned it to my BCS tech and they got very interested in what my concerns, needs were.

I'm on 9.0.2, no IPv6 fields in the device Ethernet setup.

Thanks for the info. That is

Thanks for the info. That is a bit concerning, but explains why I can't find any info. I hope Symantec move on this quickly and provide dual stack capability.

I need to dual stack all my edge services in the next 12 months, so this may be the end of BMG for us if it doesn't change soon.

Thanks

Oz

Thanks for the link. I hope

Thanks for the link.

I hope it is more than under consideration given that all the IPv4 addresses are predicted to be gone in Q1 2011, it should be in active development.

Call for Customer Inputs on IPv6

The Symantec Brightmail Gateway Product Management and Development teams are in very active discussions about rolling out IPv6 support.  The reality is that there are a number of aspects of the product that will be IPv6-enabled over several releases.  We are very interested in talking to customers about specific IPv6 implementation plans, to help us prioritize which features are most urgent from a timing perspective, and which features are most important in the long-run.

If you are interested in this topic, please send me a note.  I'd like to arrange a couple of conference calls or online forums to explore this topic in greater detail.
