  • 1.  ISA 2006 and Brightmail messaging gateway

    Im trying to set up Brightmail messaging gateway sitting behind ISA 2006.  I have created a server publishing rule for SMTP server protocol.  This accepts traffic from anywhere and external to Brightmail device.  This does not appear to be working, e-mail traffic cannot reach Brightmail appliance.

    Does anyone have any idea?

    Can you describe the testing you have performed?  Other than not getting any e-mail, what tests have you done?  How did you test?

    Have you tested this via telnet - e.g. from the outside of the ISA box, can you telnet to the interface on port 25.  Do you get an SMTP banner?

    Does the outside interface (incoming) have the IP of the ISA proxy in it's list of allowed to send IPs?
