  • 1.  Issue after Ghost Solution Suite Migration

    Hi,
I've recently  had to migrate our Solution Suite server to a different Server [ie Different Name & IP] and I managed to migrate everything across fine following the migration guide but now I've gone to Create a new image of a system and when it reboots to the WinPE environment it just sits there polling the old server address fails then reboots.
I've looked back through the guide and I don't see anything about this and I've had a hunt around but couldn't find anything referring to this particular issue. I've tried refreshing the winPE and WinPE-512 boot images but that didn't help.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Alex

Quite likely it is a NIC driver issue in that Console thinks that matching driver is present in Winpe and indeed it may but it could be an old driver that doesnt support new hardware even though hardware IDs in INF file do match. We have seen this in our testing. To fix this find your exact driver model, then download latest Vista-based driver and inject it to Winpe using Ghost boot wizard Winpe editor. Once it is finished compiling you can execute image create task again.
