I am trying to create an image from a Dell Latitude D830 laptop.  I can boot the laptop up in ghost without any problems.  However, when I bring up the screen where I can select the hard drive for the laptop it is listed but grayed out and I cannot select it.  The drive is a 160 GB SATA drive.  Are there any drivers or parameters that are needed for this?  Is the size of the drive an issue?  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

What version of Ghost are you using? It sounds like you need to add drivers for the SATA controller. Is this in a WinPE or a PC-DOS environment?

    Thank you,

I am using Ghost 11.0.0.1502 and it is PC-DOS.  Thank you for your help.

    Randy,

I checked with Dell about a driver for the new drive.  They said that no driver is required.  Do you know of any reason why Ghost can see a source drive but not access it?  The drive is displayed in the list of source drives, but not accessible.  Is there a driver I need to Ghost that Symantec has?

    Thank you.

    Tom
