Symantec Management Platform (Notification Server)

Has anybody seen this issue before with NS7.x?

I have a job that runs a simple gpupdate /target:Computer /force and then has 4 consecutive restart PC tasks.

After the Job completes the gpudate task and TWO of the restart tasks, the agent on the PC seems to hang and never start up as the last two restarts never happen.  The job then just fails after the alloted 90 minutes.

Is there some way I can get this to work properly?  Any ideas?

Recieved some help from one of the awesome guys over on the altiris IRC channel!

I made sure to explicitly define a GPO that allows the services to startup automatically and the issue resolved itself.

My guess is that there was a GPO that was getting applied during those restarts that blocked the startup of the service for some reason.
