  • 1.  Issue Importing MSD from Environment to Environment

    Posted May 22, 2014 09:50 AM

    Good morning,

Wondering if anyone has seen this. We are moving some MSD's from one Altiris 7.1 Environment to another. This is being done via the console (right click inport) Both environments have version parity and the this functionality was working fine a few days ago. Basically when we import an MSD that was exported from another environment we are seeing  the following error (See Screenshot below). This happenes with any user, in any role and seems to be happening with any MSD I attempt to import. My first step is going to be restarting services on this box as it is in QA. Has anyone run into this?

    Thanks

Have you imported all the items the MSD uses? Software Resources and Filters?

That might be what is going on. In every other case I have been moving the Software Release first. This was a newer admin. I'll walk through that process with them and see if the MSD imports correctly. That makes sense.

    Thanks!

That's probably what is going on. I'll verify.

    Thanks

Yep. That was what he was doing. Forgot to move the SR into the environment as we have been doing all along.

    Thanks for the direction!
