We have installed PGP Command Line 10.1 build 52 on Solaris 10. The installation went fine.

Now, when we are trying to authorize it, it is not working.

    opt/pgp/bin/pgp --license-authorize --license-name "Name" --license-organization "Org Name" --license-number "1234" --force

We are firing the above command but there is no output. It keeps running withour giving the prompt back.

Does anyone have any idea as to if we are doing anything wrong?

    Hello,

please use the manual authorization for pgp command line.

Please save the manual authorization string to a text file and specify the file (e.g. auth_file.txt) while activating the license:

     pgp --license-authorize --license-name "My Name" --license-organization "Org Name" --license-number "xxx-xxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx" --force auth_file.txt

If you do not have the manual authorization string, please contact Symantec Customer Care: http://customercare.symantec.com/

Try using "Authorized Company" for Organization name and "Authorized User" for Name.

Thanks for the responses. We had to update the PGPprefs.xml and remove some references to the earlier version post which we were able to authorize it using a auth file.
