  • 1.  Issue With Power Builder

    Hi,
    i am using Symantec endpoint protection 11.. when i turn on the application and device control on, from my management server those clients which is having Power builder Application is not working. the error is could not start the application. once the Application and device control is turned off its working fine.

    Can anyone help regarding this

    From the logs find out which rule is blocking your application,then create an exception in that rule for this process....

    there is a bug if you are using application and device control that it can block some application from starting se more in this article http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security.nsf/docid/2009110612204948

    but when i tryed the RU5 PP1 client it worked fine. If you call symantec support you can get the RU5 PP1 client.

    I wouldn't bother with RU5 PP1 at the moment as RU6 is very very close to release  :)
