Issues with EV 7.5 in Citrix
Hello.
We're experiencing some issues with our pilot EV project for Citrix users.
Due to some issues with the initial archiving phase and to test export functionality in EV, it was decided to revert some archived mailboxes back into Exchange. The mailbox was subsequently re-enabled and re-archived.
The archive is actually regenerated and visible in EV, but the archived messages do not appear as archived in the Citrix Outlook interface (no pending/archived icons etc). I've tried zapping the mailbox using EVPM and re-enabling it, but no effect.
Being a Citrix environment, the user rights are obviously quite locked down. As a result, ResetEVClient won't work, as the user lacks access to i.e re-registering Valkyrie.dll.
Any help concerning how to bring back full EV functionality to the Citrix clients, as well as any best practices for implementing EV in a Citrix environment is greatly appreciated.

Tony,
Thanks for your input.
Not to question your suggestion or anything, but are you certain about this feature? Reason why I'm asking is because:
* The aforementioned user's archive appears in the EV console (after zapping, re-enabling and running a manual archiving task), listing youngest/oldest data that correlates with the applied policy. The relevant dvs files are also present in the vault store partition. So, for all intents and purposes, the user's mailbox appears to be archived, it's just not showing in his Outlook.
* The same procedure (export to original mailbox, zap, re-enable, manual archive) was applied to another thick-client based user (XP client, no Citrix), and in his case, his e-mails appeared as non-archived after export, and then re-appeared as archived after manual archiving.
Anyhoo, I'll give the registry hack a go on the test Citrix server and see how it goes.
Thanks again :)

I'd like to see what happens when the user logs in to a thick client.
Is there anything there like it should?
As for the DVS files and so on, they are NOT deleted when you export a Mailbox.
The user's archived files will be retained in his archive.

Ok, so a bit of a misunderstanding, and I apologize if I came across as harsh, it was just that the client behavior was slightly confusing. :)
Anyhow, your tip worked. However, as we've been mucking about with policy settings and such during the pilot, various messages and shortcuts seem to have been created with various settings. From what I've read, changing policy settings will not affect previously archived messages. So, two questions really:
1. Would I need to revert the archived messages to users mailbox, delete the archive and re-archive in order for the final policy settings to come into effect?
2. Can someone please give me a recipe on how to produce shortcuts that are as transparent as possible to the end-user? I'm a little confused by the docs on this, and I would like the shortcuts to resemble the original e-mail as much as possible (all text retained, embedded html shown in shortcut, attachments shown in attachment pane and so forth).
