Take backup of the registry

Take backup of the registry and make the following changes

In registry look for : HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\AppData    value=%APPDATA%
Change to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\AppData     value=%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming

Reboot the computer and try the installation.

My configured is value=%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming by default.

System instaled clean.

The problem was found in silent instalation, not in Interactive mode.

This reproduce in multiple systems Windows x64 (2003, 2008 and WIN7)

Thanks.

Hi

Thanks for replay

I run the SETUP.EXE in administrator account. The UAC is disable. What permitions should check?

Mi problem is only in 64 bits. For example in win7, the instalation of 32 bits pakage was done.

Do not understand what happens

Thanks!

1. Please check if KB981725

1. Please check if KB981725 and KB976382 MS updates werem't installed recently.

2. Check HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\PendingFileRenameOperations - if it is set, backup the registry and delete PendingFileRenameOperations value. Try to install SEP.

3. Try to install LU first from lusetup.exe

Thanks Pawel!

But not work

I think the problem is in the time to export the packages from the SEPM console. This may be corrupted.

Not sure.

You know how I can replace packages? because SEPM console will not let me delete them?

Thanks!

I think running Repair from

I think running Repair from Control panel - Add/remove programs should fix this. But if the same package installs on other machines, it means that it is fine I think.

hi

you cannot delete the latest packages,

you should try creating a new package for 64 bit machines, if it exports fine then its all OK

while exporting the package, uncheck the single exe option, try running the .msi file, this should work

Thanks all!

Ok, I'm not explaining well.

The package fails is 64 bits. I exported from the SEPM multiple times (with the option. exe unchecked). This package always fails on all installations when in silent mode.

There is no way to replace packages SEPM? These could be corrupted.

 Thanks!
