we are running Altiris Agent 6.0.2416 on a number of Windows 2003 & 2008 server. I am having a couple software update issue s that seem to happen almost every month on randoom servers. due to our application requirements, we do not automate the software install or reboots. but instead, we manually run the Start Software Update Cycle task. there are 2 issues that we see.
1. nothing happens after clicking the link. sometimes after a few hours the software will finally install, other times it does not. I've tried rebooting and restarting the agent and many times it doesn't help.
2. sometimes the Start Software Update Cycle task is disabled. It looks the same, but when you hover over it it doesn't turn into a link that you can click on.
I am fairly new to using this tool. I've tried using command line options too and haven't had much luck with that either. attached is a screen shot.
