This issue has been solved. See solution.

All,

I am having issues with attempting to set up vaulting profiles from the GUI.  I'm new to UNIX so I'm not that familiar with command line functions.  I'm wondering, and I briefly browsed through the admin guide for UNIX, if there is a command to set up vaulting

Have you tried vltopmenu?

located under /usr/openv/netbackup/bin?

Its pretty easy, its a menu driven command line function.  Check the commands for unix guide for more info.

That works

I will read up in the admin guide.  I also found a vault admin guide that looks like it might be handy too.

Thanks again!

No offense, but it sounds like

you're pretty new to vault

You might also want to read through the vault operator's guide too - it has some good info as well.

Also

I know you marked this thread as solved, but have you given any thought as to why you are having issues using vault in the GUI?

What OS and NBU version is your master server?

Exactly what issues were you having with the GUI?

It turns out

my issue doesnt seem to be localized to vault

Now anywhere I click I get a rotating hourglass, and no matter how long I wait, nothing pops up.

have you made sure that

you can resolve your hostnames of the master servers via DNS?

If you are not using DNS, have you added the entries into the host file?

This will typically resolve the rotating hourglass.
