We have this issue precipitated by DST where the Altiris agent for Unix is consuming high CPU. Altiris recommends installing KB 39189, which we have. We have rolled this out to about 20 systems (of 300,) but are not seeing the issue go away.
Any recommendations?

I would call support. I will see if they can take a look at this thread, however if it's a big issue, letting support know it your best option.
edit - Our contact with support is out, so looks like you'll have to call, sorry.
