I get an exception when adding available reports reported in the progress list. Not all of the reports just about half of them. The message is: "Exception: the request failed with HTTP status 403: Forbidden". All the reports list installed successfully interlaced with the exception messages. I don't know what server, what web etc. so I don't where to begin. Any ideas about where to start to look? Thanks!

What security role are you using?

Hello Mark,
Are you using a built in security role? ITA can be a bit particular about rights, and even version of Notification Server.

Let us know,

Jim

logged on using the NS identity an Altiris Administrator

The domain account is a local admin on the NS/Helpdesk box and the SQL Server box

Solved but don't know why

I changed the connection settings, I replaced the Analysis Server Name from the IP address of the SQL Server (off-box) to the host name with domain extension and readded the cubes and reports and they installed without error.

The ITA security

can be a bit tricky, especially with particular .net versions. Also hotfixes R8,9,10 and 11 all had various issues with ITA. I agree with your other posts, the error messages COULD be a bit more intutive. That being said, I've followed the ITA guide and it has worked fairly well for me.
