  • 1.  IT Management Suite 8.0 HF1 is now available

    The IT Management Suite 8.0 HF1 is now available:

    • Addressed 82 customer escalations (more than 250 defects in total)
    • OpenSSL is upgraded to version 1.0.1s
    • Full support for RHEL 6.7 - Symantec Management Agent and solution plug-ins can be installed on RHEL 6.7.  For the list of supported solutions and limitations refer to the following article:   http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC9268
    • Support for SQL 2012 SP3 - Starting from ITMS 8.0 HF1, SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 3 is supported.
    • Updated versions of Symantec Workspace Virtualization Agent (7.6.181) and Symantec Workspace Streaming Agent (7.6.0.180) are included.
    • Improvements of the AD import user interface: the status of the AD import rules is added, different filtering and sorting options are added, list of import rules now provides more information about each rule. For more information, see the Connect article.

    Hello,

    thank you!

    Is it me or the plugin versions stated in this Release Notes are wrong?

     

    For example: Symantec Management Agent, I see installed version 8.0.2365 but 8.0.2363 is the version in the document.

    The SMA version is 8.0.2365 indeed. The RN is now updated accordingly.

    Hello. 

     

    when I run SIM in order to get the product list updated and install HF1, I am getting a pop up windows asking me for credentials to connect to the repository www.solutionsam.com, what credentials do I need to enter?? 

     

    I have attched an screenshot in case it helps.

    Hi,

    Normally SIM should not ask any creds for solutionsam. Will it let you pass if any use name (like "user1") provided?

    Interesting, I had no issues installing HF1, which btw was a significant amount of updates. Great job team, really excited about the new AD import features!

    All good now, it was our proxy settings that was causing this situation, nothing to do with SIM or CMS.
