  • 1.  It is possible to avoid installing Web browsers toolbars with SEP?

    Hello to all.

I have several clients that are not fixed as they affect the security of your business by installing various toolbars in their browsers. Causing loss of performance in your browser and therefore the income of threats in your PC.

SEP client has the ability to prevent the installation of these toolbars? Thanks

Yes, you can do this with an application and device control hardening policy.

Check this link which has many great ADC policies available for download and use in the SEPM

There is already one built to do this. See here:

    7. Prevents registration of new browser toolbars.

    • Browser toolbars, like BHOs, are used to spy on or interfere with web browsing.  This rule is useful if your organization does not allow browser toolbars or has a pre-installed set of allowed browser toolbars.

Do you need more assistance with your problem or were you able to get it resolved?

If you could post an update for followers of this thread that would be most helpful.

Otherwise, if resolved, you can close the thread out by clicking the "Mark as solution" link at the bottom left on the most helpful post. This will benefit admins looking for a resolution to the same problem.

    Thanks and take care,
    Brian
