Is it possible to have multiple connections to one machine?

Created: 30 Oct 2012 | 3 comments

If I connect to a machine with pcAnywhere (12.5), and then another user tries connecting to the same machine, they get a message "Host is busy".

Is it possible to allow two users to connect to the same machine (or more)?

Not with pcAnywhere.

You can tandem in with another program such as VNC/RDP/GoToMyPC/TeamViewer/LogMeIn/etc.

pcanywhere Box can be multi connected if the host is configured for conferancing.   However they will need to be on the same vlan or you have to open up udp ports across your vlans if I remeber correctly.   Also only the first connection can control the others are just observe and you can't transfer control like other programs.

you can connect to a host who is remote controlling another host.  Daisy chaining to allow both to control the host but not very good performance.

cheers
