  • 1.  ItemVersionData table incredibly large in Symantec database.

    Hi,

    Just noticed my Symantec Client Management 7 database is 60GB! As we only have 120 ish users the guidlines state it should be around 500MB - 1GB max. Managed to find the culprit for the massive size. Its the table ItemVersionData which is 57GB on its own!

    Has anyone else had this issue and been able to resolve it?

    Done a quick search and had the suggestion to truncate it, performed this (which reduced the size) but some components stopped working and it went weird in the console so restored from a backup. Aslo tried the following link but the queries it told me to run pointed out it wasnt that issue.

    The table isn't getting large quickly, it just seems to be massive and at a standard size.

    Hi Martin,

    A bit after the fact...but I was going through un-responded posts and found this.  In addition to the KB you found (which may have been updated since you looked at it), I also found TECH143154 which may have some other solutions for you.
