    Hello,

    Is there white papers or another documentations that can help to implement a disaster recovery plan ?

    My customer has a boot on san capability. Is it possible ?

    We exclusively boot from SAN for all servers, including Altiris.  No issues here in that regard.

    1) Disaster recovery costs money. Do you really consider your Client\Asset Management platform a critical system that needs immediate recovery? I only ask because you can recover in a timely manner, as long as you don't need\require 24 x 7 coverage.

    2) The number one feature that makes Altiris "disaster resistant" is the fact that 90+ % of the functionality can be restored relatively quickly by restoring the SQL database and setting up a new instanct of the applciation. So as long as A) your SQL is backed up (maybe including offsite tapes) and B) your software library can be restored, you are ultimately covered.
