  • 1.  ITMS iPad App Update

    There really isn't a good place to post this so I'm posting it here. We really like using the ITMS iPad App at our site but there are a couple of things with it that could use fixing. The app hasn't been updated since December 2013, is there any word that there'll be a new version soon?

    We'd like to not have users be system admins to be able to log into it and use it. We'd also like the new Agent Health filter to be present (the new filter in ITMS 7.6). Along with that, we can no longer log in to the App since upgrading to 7.6 so an update to fix that functionality would also be great.

    Any news would be appreciated.

    If you have upgraded to or installed ITMS 7.5 after the 2nd of December 2013, you do not have to install the server part manually, as the server part of the app is included with your original installation. To start using ITMS Admin iPad app, on your iPad, go to AppStore and install the ITMS Admin iPad app (itunes.apple.com/US/app/id569048483). 

    However, if you have upgraded to or installed ITMS 7.5 before the 2nd of December 2013, in order to obtain the server part of the ITMS Admin iPad app, you need to upgrade the Enhanced Console Views component to the version ECV 7.5 MP1. This upgrade lets the app connect to the Notification Server.

    We got all that. It was working before we upgraded to 7.6, now it won't let us authenticate and it is just odd that it hasn't been upgraded (the app) since 2013 so didn't know what the roadmap was for it.

    I heard at the user summit in SLC they EOL the ITMS iPad application :(

    I wish they wouldn't of, it had promise and I think our techs could have taken advantage of the functionality and our technicians and help desk staff are highly mobile.

    It really is too bad that they EOL'd it. Its actually  a nice mobile addition. I think it needed a lot more marketing and maybe some configuration tweaks  to really take off. If it isn't going to be offered anymore, then perhaps its time to take it out of the app store....

    That's what it appears. The app has never been updated and it doesn't work with 7.6 (it won't let you authenticate).
