Are there any known issues about the use of Symantec Endpoint Protecton and ITunes? The ITunes network connectivity tests says "A secure link to the ITunes store failed," after running the diagnostic test. Also, when I try to update my Iphone using ITunes I get an error saying that the Iphone software update server could not be contacted.
Is the SEP client managed or unmanaged? What version of SEP 11 are you running? I would bet your IT department is blocking Itunes apps.
You might want to contact the SEP admin for your company and see if this is getting blocked by them.

Maybe to do with firewall restrictions, or Application and Device Control? Definitely need more info about your configuration (components installed) and version.

Try Disabling the proxy server settings in IE options. Follow http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1490, which will show you how to do.
